Congratulations to Alan Weekes of Prestwich Bowling Club B Team, who won the 2017 renewal of the Red Rose Shield from a field of 21, beating team mate Stuart Cameron in the final. The weather was glorious and the cricket club's green in excellent condition. Alan faced father and daughter

This event is taking place at Prestwich CTBC, with the draw being made at 1:15pm in the clubhouse.  This is open to all registered bowlers in the Salford and District League and handicaps are in place for previous entrants depending upon the success that they have had in the competition. Salford League Update 2017/03/22

All pre-season meetings have now taken place. We have confirmed that all 14 teams that were in the league last year will be in it again this year. Fixtures will be handed out over the next two weeks. Division 1 starts on April 11th - check for your fixtures

Salford League – Next Meeting

The next Salford and District League meeting will be on Friday February 24th at the Church Institute, commencing as soon as possible after 8pm. This meeting will be mainly to discuss venues for competitions and end of season dance as well as to hand out a provisional set of fixtures and

BCGBA Numbers

All bowlers who wish to take part in competitive bowling under the rules of the BCGBA (league bowling, competitive bowling, etc.) must have a BCGBA number. These can be acquired for £10 from a county registrar and is a one-off life time fee to become a member of the BCGBA.
