Next Meeting: AGM Monday November 4th 7:30pm at North Chadd

Greater Manchester started as a county bowling association in 1980 and quickly found our feet, narrowly missing out to Yorkshire in the final in our debut year. Revenge was gained a year later with maiden win and a 58 chalk home win at Waterloo and Taunton.Despite two semi final appearances in the mid-80s, we would have to wait until 1987 for our next appearance, when Brian Duncan's brilliance would prove the difference and give Lancashire the win in a close-fought contest. Greens used back then include the gone-but-not-forgotten Golden Lion, Hurst Band Club, and Star Inn, Failsworth.
